The big wait is over! Friday 31 October 2008 will be the day of sospiratissimo knee surgery, just to the quadriceps tendon. I'm pathetic?!? well .. maybe ... but these months ... without my beloved race, I have done much to think and reflect ... I even thought about not doing more surgery. My hopes are not to go back to doing what I did many years ago .. that is part of a pleasant past and a good time and competitive sports in my life, but the thing that drives me, is the lack of that feeling that race me. The race is hard work, but at the same time is a unique pleasure, that takes your head and strengthens your body. The race ... makes you free, happy, strong ... but especially tenacious. Surely it is the tenacity that tells me to go on ... .. to fix my frame to stay well, to discover the real pleasure that the race, even today, almost 40 years, I send. It 's true when they say that the players makes you lose the pleasure and the feeling of running ... because the result is the first thing, and they end up forgetting the fun.
